Where is Wallington Park Equestrian Centre?

Wallington Park is located at 1625 Bellarine Highway Wallington, Victoria, 3221, Australia.


What do I wear, and what do I bring?

As sessions are mainly facilitated outdoors, we ask that weather appropriate clothing, hat and sunscreen on sunny days, raincoat on cool days, and fully enclosed shoes are worn. Footwear is available to borrow at Wallington Park, however availability of all shoe sizes cannot be guaranteed.
Wallington Park does not offer food or drink for purchase so we recommend you bring your own, especially a water bottle.


Will my session be cancelled if it is raining?

If in the instance weather conditions are less than ideal, sessions will be facilitated undercover. Clients will be notified directly if in the instance sessions need to be rescheduled or cancelled due to weather.


Do I need horse experience to engage in Equine Assisted Therapy?

No prior horse experience is required to participate in EquiHuman Mental Health. All participants are provided with safety guidelines to ensure safe interactions with horses.


Does Equine Assisted Therapy involve horse riding?

Sessions at EquiHuman Mental Health are mainly facilitated on the ground in connection with horses, however mounted experiences can be offered where suitable for the purposes of supporting therapeutic and learning goals.


Is Equine Assisted Therapy covered under the NDIS?

EquiHuman Mental Health supports clients within the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Self-managed and plan-managed clients may be able to access NDIS funding support for individual therapy and group programs.


How do I cancel or reschedule my session?

We appreciate that there will be times when a session cancellation will need to be made. EquiHuman Mental Health kindly asks that all cancellations and rescheduling requests occur at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session, and made either by email, text, or phone call. In the circumstance of late cancellations or non-attendance, a full fee charge applies.
